OUR STORY
At NLT, we are excited about where we have come from, who we are now,
and more importantly where God is going to lead us next!
Our Vision
To Be An Apostolic Church in the 21st Century.
History
Pastor Ronnie Ingle moved to Kernersville in August of 1996 to start a church. There were ten people in a small 32 x 60 building located at 202 West Bodenhamer Street in Kernersville, NC. Within a matter of a few months, nine of those people left and one remained. Immediately they began to renovate the building and to teach Home Bible Studies. They also began to run a bus route that is still going on today. The congregation outgrew the original building in three years and moved to the present location at 1225 Piney Grove Road in September of 1999. This property has given the congregation plenty of room to grow with 3.85 acres, a building that has eight classrooms, a fellowship hall, a sanctuary that will seat 200 plus, a detached office building, and fifty paved parking places. New Life Tabernacle has been at their current location since September of 1999. On August 18, 2008, the congregation paid off their mortgage on their current location, satisfying a 15 year note in 7 years and 10 months! To God be the glory! In May of 2009, they purchased 13.29 acres on the corner adjacent to their current location. This new property will be the future home of New Life Tabernacle! The congregation plans on using the current location to house their Student Ministries, among other things.
In November of 2011, the congregation purchased an existing home and parcel of land adjacent to the 13.29 acres, thus expanding the amount of property they own. In April of 2016, the church broke ground on their new 6,000 square foot Family Life Center, and, received the Certificate of Occupancy for the same on February 1, 2017.
